SMS – Send a Single Message

Send a single SMS through your configured Twilio phone number or another active SMS API gateway.

SMS – Send a Single Message

Send a Single SMS

Send a single SMS from your application, CRM, website, or backend system using the Libwana.Net SMS API.

Before sending messages, get your API key from User Panel → Communication → API and keep it securely on your server.

Make sure you have an active plan, sufficient credits, and an active SMS gateway.

For Twilio, configure and activate your gateway under Gateway → SMS → API, including the required credentials and sender phone number.

Then select it as your preferred SMS API gateway under Communication → API.

Important: The sender number is configured inside the gateway settings and should not be added to the API request body.

If you need to send the message through a particular SMS gateway, include its Libwana.Net UID as gateway_identifier inside the contact object.

The gateway_identifier is the Libwana.Net gateway UID and is not a Twilio SID.

API Endpoint

POST https://libwana.net/api/sms/send

Api-key YOUR_API_KEY
Accept application/json
Content-Type application/json

Windows CMD Example

method Use api when sending through your configured Twilio or other SMS API gateway.
contact An array containing the recipient information.
number Recipient phone number including the appropriate country code.
message The SMS text you want to send.
sms_type Use plain for a standard text SMS.

Using It With Your Application or CRM

Trigger the HTTPS request from your application's backend or workflow. Map your customer's phone number and message into the contact array.

Security Notice

Do not expose your Libwana.Net API key in frontend or browser JavaScript.

Your application should prevent duplicate events, respect recipient consent, and handle API errors appropriately.

Check Message Status

After sending, use the returned message ID to check the SMS status.

GET /api/get/sms/MESSAGE_ID

Include your Api-key and Accept: application/json headers when checking the status.

An accepted API request does not necessarily mean the SMS has been delivered. Always check the returned message ID and dispatch logs for the final delivery status.
